What six coins combine to make $.47?

It's a riddle for school and it's driving me nuts.

Here's the solution: 1 quarter (25 cents), 1 dime (10 cents), 2 nickels (10 cents), and 2 pennies (2 cents). 1+1+2+2= Exactly 6 coins used. Next add the value of the coins which are shown in the parentheses. 25+10+10+2= 47. As you can see, they total the required forty seven cents.

The seven cents out of the forty must be from a nickel and two pennies which amounts to three coins so far. Three coins left and $.40 which can then be attributed to a quarter, dime and another nickel. In summary, the six coins which make 47 cents are 1 quarter, 1 dime, 2 nickels, and 2 pennies.
