What should you do when a web page freezes?

Should I just turn off my computer, or wait?

You should usually wait. If the wait is excessive, you should hit control-alt-delete which invokes task manager. From there, you can usually close your frozen browser. If you cannot load task manager and close internet explorer(or your browser), then, you should hit reset or power off your computer.

If the webpage freezes wait a full minute. If that doesn't work hit "reload". If that doesn't work close the broswer and reopen. If that doesn't work restart the computer.

A good idea is to attempt to refresh the page by hitting F5 on your keyboard. Alternatively, you can try CTRL+F5 to refresh the cache as well.

Control-Shift-Escape opens the Windows Task Manager. From that, right click on whatever web browser you use that shows in the list (i. e. IE, Firefox, Opera) and click "End Task".
