I look for the quality and design of the table. How well the felt is on the table, if it has any and the brand name.

You need to look for the type of cloth/material that it is made from. See if it is easily stainable or if it will be ruined after the first beer gets spilled. Preferably a top should have 9 double slots for chips. A very useful one should have cup holders. You should see how it folds also!
