What should I know before installing Dodge Stratus A/C O-rings?

First off, it's imperative that the system is completely discharged before you work on it. You will injure yourself if it's not. Replacing A/C O rings isn't that hard, but be careful wrenching on the soft aluminum fittings- they break easily. The O rings must be lined up just right in order to prevent leaks.

You should know that its important to have the highest quality after market parts or to buy directly from dodge beacuse alot A/C O-rings are cheap and will need reinstalling after very little use.

Always lubricate the O-Rings with 525 Viscosity Mineral Oil. This will protect the O-Rings during the installation and make install easier.

You are going to need to basic knowledge or vehicle repair to accomplish this task. The o-rings are going to be located under the hood. Once under the hood you will be able to located the rings near the AC section in the vehicle. Once located you will be able to replace them with your knowledge.
