What should I know about using an RV generator?

It's very noisy, and it is considered rude to run it for long in a trailer park, especially during the night. You don't need to use it when you are hooked up to electric, which is possible at most trailer parks. It runs on gas, so don't let your RV run low in gas.

The most important factor the load to be placed on the generator. Overloading a generator can damage the generator and the devices it is powering. On the other hand, a more powerful generator than needed is wasteful of both initial investment and fuel consumption. Generators should be able to supply more power than is needed, but not excessively much more.
