Tendonitis surgery is reserved only for severe cases with tendon tears, ruptures and bone spurs not responding to rest and medical treatment. There are two types of surgeries. Arthroscopic surgery is less invasive and repair of tendons done through small incisions. Open surgery is performed in completely torn tendons.

surgery is the last option for Tendonitis when it causes severe pain or limited mobility.There is invasive(open surgery) and noninvasive(arthroscopic)surgery.open usually indicated in completely torn tendon.

You should know that this surgery can take four to six weeks to fully recover from, depending on where the tendonitis is located, and what kind of physical shape you are in.
