Sheltie-Lab mixes are very intelligent, but also very energetic dogs. They have a great temperament and generally bark very little, but should be given plenty of opportunity to run and play in order to keep them happy.

A sheltie lab mix will have personality traits of both shelties and labs, so be sure to educate yourself on both breeds before you get one. Raising dogs is for the most part pretty similar regardless of the breed.

If you get it as a puppy you just raise the puppy the way you want it to be as an adult.

Shelties and Labs are both sweet tempered breeds, excellent for families with children. Depending on how prominent the Sheltie genes are, you may have to do a good deal of grooming on the coat. Also, Shelties and Labs are both active dogs, so regular outdoor exercise will be a must.

Both shelties and labs are high energy dogs. Both also have relatively short attention spans. However, with consistant training and sufficient exercise you should have a loyal and loving pet

Sheltie-Lab mixes are very smart but also very hyper dogs. They have a great temperament and generally bark very little, but should be given plenty of opportunity to run and play in order to keep them happy, as every dog needs.

Labs tends to be well rounded dogs, with lots of energy and intelligence. Shelties tend to be a people pleaser and intelligent breed. One should expect a mix to be intelligent, trainable, loving and full of energy. The mixed dog will more than likely be a very social dog. One should also expect the mix to do well with children.

That just like any other dog they need love and affection. I don't see any need for any special services, just because it is a mixed breed.
