Installing a DVD player with an FM modulator would presumably vary according to manufacturer. Your FM receiver will probably have to have some kind of antenna, which would need to be away from other electronics to get good reception. This may be a bit of a challenge, since your DVD player would presumably be near your TV and other electronics.

Before installing a dvd player with a FM modulator, be sure to tune your radio to a frequency where you can hear no station. You should be able to tune 2 steps above and below this frequency and it should still be clear. Set the FM modulator to this frequency.

You should know that with a really good FM modulator that the radio won't play until you turn off the modulater. There is the same thing for stereo units.

Your wiring more than likely is actually behind the carpeting against the the fender wall. From there you will need to split between your power source and your output devices.

First, you would plug the FM modulator in the wall. Hook the rca wire from the dvd to the modulator. Finally, the coax to the tv.

FM modulator is used to modulate and De-madulate from an other device. You should know how to connect the wires and how to use the remote control.
