A bird's beak should wear down evenly and by itself. If a problem arises, consult an avian vet. Have it trimmed so no problems with eating or cleaning persist.

If you have never attempted to clip a bird's beak, you should take them to a vet to have it done. If the vein in the beak is clipped, your Conure could bleed out. If you do it on your own, just be sure to clip only the tip of the beak and file the sharp edges down carefully.

It is generally not necessary to clip a Conure's beak or the beak of any other avian. They will sharpen their beaks themselves given the oppurtunity. Put a shell in the cage to accompish this.
