Not all roosters are friendly first of all. You need to keep you face away from theirs. Pick breeders with good dispositions and correct standards to maintain the breed correct. Make sure the roosters get a good diet; they can eat what the hens eat.

to breed roosters, you need chickens. you also need to make sure that your neighborhood or city does not have restrictions in place on roosters. they are noisy animals and a lot of people do not appreciate being woken up at 4:30am to a crowing rooster. If you have more than 1, they must be kept separately to avoid fighting.

Roosters tend to show interest in breeding between four and six months of age. He may try to mount the hens.
