Since they are so small you'll want to keep a close eye on them. Keep them away from cold and crate train them. Feed them small meals 3x a day.

They are fragile and need alot of reassurance. Try seeing through the eyes of something small and inferior in size to everything else. Chihuahua's shake because they are intimidated by the large things around them. Hold them a lot to build their self-confidence that you are there to protect them.

Only feed him food that's made for dogs. Also, you need to be careful that the dog doesn't get stepped on or kicked. Chihuahua's are very frail and can break bones easily.

Chihuahua's are not any different that any other puppies. Well the major difference is that they are TINY when they are puppies. You really need to make sure that you do not step or kick the puppy on accident. If you put a bell on the puppy's collar then you will hear the puppy and know where it is.

These kinds of puppies need the same care as other puppies. However, they do need to be kept warmer because they are such a small animal and loose body heat quickly.

Chihuahua puppies are among the hardest to take care of becaue of their size and certain medical needs that may arise. If you have other dogs or especially cats in the house, keep them seperated, as they might think the new puppies are something to play with and kill them.

Unique to the chihuahua is their low tolerance for cold. Below 0C, one should outfit them with a sweater, and minimize their time outdoors.
