Consult your doctor immediately. You will need x-rays so they can analyze how bad your fracture really is. Sometimes injuries don't heal properly and can have long term effects so it is best to get this treated promptly.

Well you probably know that it hurts? It does take some time for a hairline fracture to heal, and if it doesn't it will give you problems in the long run. You should for sure get it x-rayd and the doctor will have to decide whether or not to put a cast on your foot.

A hair-line fracture will have the fractured segments un-displaced and the only treatment required will be good immobilization[splint/cast] of the foot for a period of atleast 3-4 weeks during which the callus will form and the fractured ends will unite. You can repeat an x-ray after this period to confirm the fracture union.

Hairline fractures can heal on their own if allowed to, but if not given time to heal can get worse and then require aggressive medical treatment to correct.
