Depending on the year of the Chevy S10, it can be an extremely difficult job. The newer it is, the harder it will be because they are pressed in. If it is newer, I would suggust taking it into a shop and having it done. I would never dream of doing it myself on a newer one.

you should make sure that a continuously rubbing noise is coming form the wheel if yes then replace the wheel bearing.

The Chevy S-10, the two wheel drive model has bearing that comes out easily though a four wheel drive model has one piece unit that need the complete hub replacement.
