A healthy guinea pig diet includes a selection of timothy pellets, timothy hay and a variety of fresh, raw vegetables like cauliflower, corn on the cob, fresh cucumber, lettuce and melons. Your local pet supply store is the best location to find a quality guinea pig food that is healthy.

They need unlimited good quality timothy/grass hay such as Oxbow. Babies and nursing mothers get cavy performance - alfalfa- and adults get 1/8 cup timothy-based cavy cuisine. It can be bought online from sites like Amazon or most good pet supply stores. In addition they need 1 cup of veg - leaf/romaine lettuce, peppers, cucumbers, kale, tomatoes, parsley - daily
