A one year old should still be drinking milk whether it be breast milk or cow's milk. At one years old, they are able to eat table food but in small bites. Baby pureed food can be made or you can buy them at the store.

If you haven't already added any solid foods to his diet, slowly add one food at a time. That way if the child has any food allergies you can figure out what the child is allergic too easily. You can just go to the grocery and look in the baby food aisle. Most of the food is labeled by age.

Babies at this age can eat baby foods labeled "third foods" and most regular table foods as long as they are cut up into bite-size pieces. They can also have regular whole milk as long as they are past their first birthday. If you have a family history of food allergies, avoid peanut products until around age three.
