You want it around 50000 mile not too much more right now summer of 2010 and should be around 12 to 13 grand in good condition.

It really depends on what is wrong with the car and the mileage. If the car has a bunch of body damage and torn interior it is worth less. If it has a bunch repairs needed on the motor it is not going to be worth a lot of money also.

A 2006 Volkswagen Jetta Diesel is listed at Edmund's website at $10,600 to $16,200. Edmund's calls this the True Market Value (TMV). This price range would be useful as a starting pointing thinking of what one might expect to pay for the 2006 Jetta Diesel. AS the saying goes 'Your mileage may vary.'

A 2006 Jetta diesel is going to cost about 10 to 15 thousand dollars depending on the mileage and everything else with the vehicle.
