What should I do if my homeowner's insurance adjuster is not coming to view the damage?

Be sure to take pictures to document all of the damage. Also, get an estimate of what repairs are needed and what the cost will be.

Contact your state's insurance commissioner if you feel that there are any unreasonable delays in initial inspection of the damage. Typically, 10-15 working days are provided for initial inspection.

If your homeowner's insurance adjuster is not coming to view the damage you can call and ask for his supervisor or the claims manager as a starting point. If that is difficult or you have a better relationship with your agent or broker you can usually call them and they can get to the supervisor or manager to help you.
