It should be replaced. There are many sensitive part that make Ground Fault Circuit Interupters operate and they become unreliable after they become wet and could pose a hazard.

Shut off power, let it dry, turn it back on and test it out to see if it works. The Ground Fault Indicator (GFI) is designed to turn off in the event that it detects an unstable ground. If the circuit didn't go, then chances are it is fine. Make sure there is no water.

You could first turn it off at your panel. Then after you know the electricity is not going to it, unscrew it and dry it off with a towel. Just make sure it is dead or you may get the shock of your life.
