What should I do if i have locked myself out of my room?

Check if you have left a window open, so you could try to enter from there (if possible)! if you have a room mate call him/her and ask if she has the other key to the room, if he/she does you could probably wait for her. If you stay alone, get a keymaker to make a spare key.

In many cases, if the door opens in, you slip a butter knife between the door and the frame, where the mechanism is. Otherwise, perhaps try going through a window. If this doesn't work, you might consider taking the hinges off, or consider calling a locksmith.

You can call a locksmith, look for an extra key, knock down the door, or start looking for another way to enter into it (using a ladder and a window).

Forcing the door is one option, or climbing through a window. If you want a less physical solution, try sliding a flexible card down the crack.
