Make sure he has constant access to food. You should keep Nutri-cal (a high-calorie supplement paste. ) If his sugar drops, he will become weak, this leads to seizures, and/or death. Nutri-Cal given daily, will help prevent hypoglycemia, and will treat it, if it occurs. Ask your vet for more information.

Dogs can have diabetes just like humans. If you think your dog has low blood sugar you should talk to your dogs Vet so he can recommend the proper solution.

Take it to the vet, the vet can tell you how to control the dogs blood sugar problem. They can tell you how to control it and what if any diet it needs to keep the dogs blood sugar in check. You need to have the vet tell you what you need to do.

To avoid hypoglycemia you should give your Maltese NutriCal which you can get from a vet. This vitamin will help stabilize the vitamins and minerals in your dog. Of course, you should use this vitamin sparingly though, and definitely not everyday.
