You probably need to have it extracted. It can cause infection if left alone. If it is a baby tooth, your dentist may suggest a spacer after the extraction. If it is an adult tooth, ask you dentist for what he recommends on filling the space. Opinions vary on this.

You should definately take the child to the dentist for an x-ray. if the root is gone then i would suggest an extraction.

The best advice is to call your childs dentist. If it is a baby tooth chances are it will exfoliate itself. But sometimes we have to extract it, example if the area is infected.

First consult yur dentist, in the meantime try to determine if it is a baby tooth or permanent tooth, look for any signs of infection, and control pain. If there are signs of infection and you cannot get to the dentist take the child the the emergency
