What should I do about my noisy neighbors?

My neighbors are constantly throwing parties that last late into the night. I've approached them, but they laugh at me and they haven't stopped. What should I do next?

First, establish a paper trail, as much evidence as you can compile to build your case. Include dates, hours, details of conversations, etc. Substantiate your complaints. Next, write them a letter that says, look, this is what I want (quiet after 11 pm, for instance) and let's work this out. If it works, great. If not, call the cops.

Next time you should politely give them a warning and let them know you are going to call the police if they don't stop. Good luck.
