What should I do about my house dog who has fleas?

Buy a flea dip at any pet store and follow the directions for using this on your dog. Prior to the dip, you must rid your home of fleas. This is done by buying a bug bomb. After taking care of your house, dip the dog and follow this by using Frontline.

You can take care of this without seeing a vet. Go and get your dog some flea and tick medication from your pet store. You can buy medicine that you squirt on the back of the neck. Get some Flea and Tick Shampoo as wel. Give your dog a bath. Use some flea and tick spray to spray your house.

There are two steps you should take to get rid of the fleas. If you have carpeted floors, you should sprinkle Borax all over your carpet and allow it to sit for a couple of hours, then vacuum it up thoroughly. The other step is that you should bathe your dog in Dawn soap, which kills the fleas on him.

The easiest solution would be to buy both flea bath and flea preventative medicine from your local pet store. Give the dog a flea bath, use tweezers to pick off any extra fleas you find in their fur/skin after the bath (they're easiest to find when the dog is wet), and then start giving them monthly flea treatments.
