Before birth of baby, was there any disease like chickenpox during early stages of your wife's pregnancy? You can do some self test also. Take the baby to a dark room and switch on a light. Check whether she is concentrating on the light. You may consult an Ophthalmologist

Not necessarily, every baby will develop at her own rate. Any time you have a concern about development, it is a good idea to bring it up with the pediatrician. They should be able to evaluate her to address your concerns. And if you don't like their answer, please go get a second opinion.

At two months old, they don't make a lot of eye contact. At about 4 you will start to notice that they are much more aware of their surroundings!

This is normal. They can't see that far away from their face yet. Get something that is black, white, and red and hang it in front of them and that should get her attention.
