Mature male hamsters have large, prominent testicles just beneath their tails. When first noticed, the testicle size is alarming and may be mistaken for tumors. If you are concerned that the testicles are larger than normal, you should take your hamster to your veterinary just to be safe. That is always the best action if you are unsure.

Yes, that is a really bad thing for any living male creature to have swollen testicles. I would suggest taking your hamster to your vet for them. If you need to look one up, try looking up exotic animal vets in your area. It could be something ruptured in there or it might have cancer.

Swollen testicles should always be investigated by your vet. It could be a sign of infection or something more serious such as cancer, particularly in an older hamster. He or she may need a course of antibiotics or possibly castration. A decision has to be made on a risky operation or just palliative care with an older hamster.

Hamsters reach sexually maturity at a young age. The testicles can be as large as peas or lima beans. If they appear larger than that or are very red your hamster should be brought to a vet for a check up.

Swollen testicles in your hamster is not normal and should be evaluated by a veterinarian. It could be an infection or it could indicate a tumor. If the swelling continues to worsen your hamster could die so it's important that you take it to a vet sooner rather than later.

Typically, hamsters are naturally large in that region, but if there is definite swelling and you see him licking or otherwise bothered by the site, take him to the vet. If there is discoloration, DEFINITELY take him in. It could be a small infection, or something worse. Have him checked.

Hamster testicles always look huge in comparison to the size of the animal. So this may not be a health problem just normal anatomy. However, if this is new and the hamster is not a young one then the best option is to see a vet who is small animal friendly.

Hamsters normally have large testicles, so it may be nothing but if you see any dark spotting around the area take the hamster to the vet for a second opinion.

It's not a bad thing. Hamster's testicles are naturally enlarged. It's probably looking to release it's seminal fluid. The other problem is it could be that your hamster is getting old and may need to visit a vet for further check up. When Hamsters hit puberty their testicles are about a fifth their size.

Swollen testicles could indicate an allergic reaction to something, or they could also indicate that your hamster is in heat. Check with a vet to be sure either way.
