You can use a natural pesticide on those pests. Mix one cup of vegetable oil with two cups of water, add two teaspoons of dish soap. Put the mixture in a clean spray bottle and spray those pests every week. You could also buy ladybugs, they are the enemy of the Japanese beetle.

A beetle infestation on any plant is not good. Beetles do tend to be drawn toward rose plants. I suggest you capture a beetle and take it to your local plant nursery. Showing a professional the exact beetle will ensure that the insecticide purchases will kill the beetles and prevent them from coming back.

It would be best to call in an exterminator who can effectively kill off the insect. Beetles are relentless creatures, but can be controlled. If you don't want to call in exterminators, then be sure to do enough research on insecticides in order to not destroy your rose bush. Ortho is one of the best insecticides out there.

There are plenty of products available for pest infestation at any store. However, if you want to go, "green," and do a natural remedy for your beetle infestation, you could use cold coffee in a spray bottle, as it has trace amounts of arsenic which is lethal to the bugs.

Hardy Hibiscus is prone to Japanese beetles. You can make a big dent in the population by picking most of them off by hand. Carry a small container of soapy water to drop the beetles into as you go. You can also try introducing Milky Spore disease purchased from a garden center. It infects the beetles and ends the problem.

First, blast it with a strong spray from the hose to simply knock as many of the beetles off as possible, then spray with a mixture of about 1/4 plain dish soap (Dawn is usually recommended) mixed with 3/4 tepid water in a spray bottle. This is surprisingly effective at killing all kinds of bugs.
