What should I consider before painting pine flooring?

Well you'd have to buy some special paint that is made for your hardwood flooring first of all. And secondly, you'd have to make sure that you glaze the pine floor.

Floor should be lightly sanded to 'dull' the finish and remove all dirt. Next, using a mild detergent, or TSP product diluted, wipe down to remove all sanding debris . Rinse several times till soap is gone. Dry thoroughly before priming. Dry, apply paint.

Make sure the surface is clean and free of cracks. It may be done through sanding or filling. use a high-quality primer to prime the stairs for painting. Use a top coat with a non-skid additive. Sand everything, prime the stairs, paint every side. Paint using a quality floor paint.

First we need sand the areas where the paint need to be applied.We need to under go the process properly then we need to apply paint with the sponge brush.
