It is important for diabetics to know what they are eating. Fiber takes time to digest, and contains a lot of sugar. Sugar is hard for diabetics to break down, so limit intake.

Fiber count is failry certain for diabetics. You can buy a supplement and take it everyday this will help with fiber count. You have to have osmething in your body for make up for the imbalance and fiber seems to do the trick

Since a diabetic must count carbohydrates, foods that are high in fiber allow half the fiber gram count to be deducted from the total carbohydrates. For example, if you wanted to eat a grain roll that had 24 grams of carbohydrate and 10 grams of fiber, you can deduct five grams from the total, recording the roll as 19 grams.

Carbohydrates are in bread, pasta, rice, legumes, peas, corn,cereal, grains, Nonstarchy vegetables & Dairy products etc... contain carbohydrates. Half cup cooked cereal, grain or starchy vegetables, peas,A third of a cup of rice or pasta,cup of milk ,slice of bread ,fruit or one-half a cup of fruit,Three quarters to 1 oz. of snack food. One carbohydrate serving is equal to 15gm of carbohydrates.
