What should be put in an expired statue of limitations defense letter to a judge?

I need help writing to a judge.

You might want the letter to come from an attorney but if notmake sure to do it professionally. Include copies of the expired statute along with a timeline of the situation involved. Also include a copy of the state's statute of limitation to refresh the judge's memory. Make sure you letter is typewritten and sent as an express mail.

Facts related to the case is the most important thing. In addition, you will need to provide proof that the statue of limits have expired. If this is civil, you will have to send documents to prove this. In a criminal case, do your research so that you can site what part of the law and how it applies.

You should state in the letter proof thst the crime occurred during the time when the statue of limitations hasn't started.
