It was great to see you at the wedding. Bob and I so happy/pleased that you were there to share our special day. The toaster is terrific and I know we'll be it to good use. [Say thanks for coming; acknowledge any gifts. Refer to cash as "the generous gift.")

I would thank them for joining you as your celebrate your very special day and then include a personal thank you for the gift they gave you and tell them what you both liked about it individually. Being as personal as possible goes over well! Congratulations!

Adding your own names, try this: Thank you for sharing such a beautiful day with John and myself as we begin our new journey together as husband and wife.

If the person attended your wedding, you should thank them for coming and being a part of your special day. You should thank them for any gift they gave you.

Simply thank the person for attending the wedding and say you enjoyed seeing them. Then mention the gift specifically and tell them something you like about it. For a cash gift, say what you plan to spend it on.

Make sure every note is handwritten a typed note is tacky. Mention the gift and how you plan on using it. Thank the person for anything special they did for you such as the toast, cleaning up, etc. Thank you notes should go out within three weeks of the wedding.
