What makes a good speaker?

One who displays a solid knowledge on the subject and can convey it in a way that is understandable, enthusiastic and confident is a good speaker. If you feel over rehearsed or underwhelmed on a subject, it can just seem boring to the listener.

Speaking clearly enough to be understood is very important. Being entertaining is good too. Being knowledgeable about your subject is very important. Blend these and you'll do fine.
