What kinds of things should be considered when interpreting the Bible?

Take it as written. When Jesus tells Moses' people not to steal and kill, he is saying that for future generations as well.

Interpretation can be of two types when classified according to use. First, there is interpreting for our own personal use and the other interpreting based on events happening now.

History of the middle East first and foremost, so you have an idea where the original authors were coming from. Then the fact a LOT got lost in translation.

Everyone has a unique personal point of view, and therefore, each will make a unique interpretation of the Bible. This can result in many different interpretations.
