What kinds of scans can they do for a pregnancy?

I don't want an ultrasound.

Doctors have all sorts of tests they can run to make sure your pregnancy and baby are healthy. Taking blood tells them a lot. They listen to the heartbeat. They test for certain diseases and can determine if your baby is likely to have it. Keep in mind that ultrasounds are painless and are not harmful to the baby.

They can find your baby's heartbeat with a stehoscope, and many midwives can feel for the location of the baby externally.
