It usually means that your circulation is bad. It can also mean you have had an allergic reaction to something. You should probably check with your doctor.

Bruising of the skin means that blood has pooled in the area from a leaky vessel. These sorts of rashes can indicate an allergic reaction.

Cause if the blood circulation is not very good, if there is an injury. It can also come due to small allergic reaction. If this is not the case then you should speak to a dermatologist.

Post inflammatory pigmentation is the rash and bruising you often get after a part of your body was inflamed. If you had a hand, arm, leg etc... that had swollen the loss of tension in the skin could cause the rashes you see. Also injuries like burns and punctures can cause a bruised rash.

Bad circulation and some thread veins can cause a rash. A swelling on a joint causes a rash that bruises because the blood circulation is not very good and there is a injury.

Well this may be usually a result of allergies and what not. If you are allergic to any substance, you can get a big rash that bruise. The blood reacts to allergens in a way that it may clot in a specific region causing the area to swell and bruise.
