Mixed breeds can have any combination of the two breeds' looks and personality traits. This dog may look like a poodle and act like a Shih Tzu or vice versa. In other cases, you'll be wondering whether the dog has any poodle at all. The good news is that both Shih Tzus and poodles are great with kids.

This is typically a gentle breed that will do well with children. I'd recommend introducing them with caution, but in most cases you will not have a problem.

Mine were always good with kids of all ages but I always got mine as babies and raised them with the kids.
