It depends on what state you live in. I am in a state where they require testing depending on your age. If under 18, you have to take a skills course and a riding test. Over 18, you can challenge the course but have to take the riding test.

It really depends on which state that you live in. All states should require that you have a motorcycle endorsement on your license. The age requirement may vary from state to state though. Contact your local Department of Motor Vehicles to get a list of requirements as well as information about where to take the test.
