What kind of library jobs are available for someone with a degree in Library Science?

I'm really interested in that field but am not aware of the opportunities.

The jobs available are generally in a library where you can work as a librarian and with the right experience move up into a director position. You could work in a public library or private one like in a university.

You can get a job as a highschool librarian if majored in library science. You can also work at historical musuems and archive places. A public library may also be able to use your knowledge.

An LIS degree coupled with your strengths makes you more competitive for positions in related fields. An LIS degree with the ability to speak/read multiple languages, then a university library position is perfect. If you are good with kids, then a public school or library position can be good.

Well you can become a librarian. That's basically the main job of someone with a degree in that science. You can also become a manager at the library. And most of all, you can just open your own library.
