One kind of fungus that grows on tomato plants is Southern Blight fungus. This kind of blight can be spotted by the appearance of gray spots on the leaves. The only way to treat such a fungus is to quickly remove all affected parts immediately before the blight spreads to other tomatoes.

Southern blight is a fungus that can affect the tomato vine. You will notice dark spots appearing around the stem at the soil line. This fungus prevents water and nutrients from traveling the vine to nourish the plant. Young plants may collapse.
