What kind of car damage results from towing?

If it is not done right it can mess up the alinment on the car and also do damage to the front end by pulling off the front bumper. Damage can also happen to the oil pan, the front end completely ripped off.

If the towing is done correctly, no damage occurs. If it is incorrect, the alignment can get messed up as well as damage to the body or underside.

Anything could happen! Ranging from dents, scratches to damages to the car's alignment, there are scary possibilities. It comes down to how good is the tow company's driver?

our van was towed, pulled by the front bumper. NOW, the right side of the sumper is Hanging and the buttom part of the bummper is detached and occasinally touches the ground while driving. The top of the wheel cover also is hanging and I have had to "Tape" them.

sometimes you can bend something when you hook the tow rope to the wrong part of the car. also if the tow rope is jerked too hard then it could loosen something.
