SIM cards are universal cards that provide identifiers to your cell phone provider. Any SIM card distributed with your plan should work.

Unless your phone is on a network that uses sim cards (T-mobile as an example) then you don't need one. IF you do it will be provided by your carrier.

Assuming the Pearl is unlocked, or the SIM is from the same carrier, then a normal SIM card will work. You can also use the Sim from your old phone.

The Pearl uses a normal SIM card. For the phone to work properly it should have the 64k SIM card and the card should be the most up to date version from your carrier.

Depending on your phone compay, you may not need a sim card at all. Remember the sim card generally comes with the phone. For example if you have a T-mobile blackberry, you will need a T-Mobile sim card.
