What is wrong when I cannot open Microsoft Word?

The shortcut to open word may point to a bad folder or the program itself is corupted. if it's the case you have to re-install it. If you re-install it you wont lose all your documents.

There can be multiple problems if you can not start Microsoft Word. You must be more specific, perhaps provide an error message.
