What is wrong if my steering wheel shakes after an alignment?

They may have done the alignment with the wrong settings, make sure you take it to a certified mechanic. Another reason is that your wheels could be unbalanced, in which case take them to a tire place and have them rebalanced. Also you may have a bad tire ie. bald spot or bubble.

check whether the tire is in good condition. find whether the engine light is getting switched on. also ensure that the alignment is proper which will avoid the shake in the steering wheel. check and ensure that break wires are proper and also keep yourself safe to avoid from accidents. put seat belt for your safety.

Well it could be caused by loose suspension components. If it occurs only when braking then there is a chance your rotors are bad.
