Sometimes, stress can cause an increased length in your period. A change in your schedule, diet, exercise routine, sleep, relationships with family, and any other kind of stress can greatly alter your period. Caffeine can also make your period more painful and longer. You could also be pregnant.

You may not be ovulating correcting. Usually, while you are on your period estrodial (a hormone) levels begin to rise and you eventually stop bleeding. If you are still bleeding beyond two weeks or if it happens again, contact your GYN.
