Thrush is essentially a yeast infection of the mouth. It is caused by the yeast Candida, which always lives on your body. When people are immune compromised or are taking certain medications, Candida yeast can gain a foothold in the mouth and then you have thrush. It will look like white patches in your mouth.

Thrush is an infection that can be found in the mouth, throat and even into the lungs. It is caused by a form of yeast called Candida Albicans.

It is a yeast infection of the mouth. It causes white patches to form. Babies get it more often than adults. Its caused by a build up of the Candida bacteria and with babies their immune system isnt strong enough to fight it yet. For seniors its because their immune system is too weak. Its treated with antifungal meds.
