Griffin is the birthplace of Doc Holliday, famous for his battle with Wyatt. You can visit the Doc Holliday museum. Since this is the deep south, there are also a number of historical Confederate sights to visit such as the cemetery and Camp Milner. There are also a number of good hiking trails.

Griffin, GA boasts a lovely historic distric. When visiting make sure to visit the Griffin Museum and especially the Doc Holliday museum. He is easily Griffin's "famous son. "

Doc Holliday Museum has a variety of exhibits of a local nature. There are also a number of historical churches, Camp Stephens Confederate Camp, Confederate Camp Milner.
