What is the treatment for a liver nodule?

The radiologist told my husband that he has a liver nodule.

Depends if it's benign or not. If it is, no treatment or surgical section is the most likely course of action. If it's malignant, additional chemo- or radiotherapy will be needed.

For most liver nodules, the treatment is to do nothing. Many people have nodules in the liver that are found incidentally while being scanned for another reason. Only nodules that present with symptoms require treatment. Nodules with an infectious etiology get antibiotics/antifungals and/or CT-guided drainage. Cancerous nodules either get surgery or chemotherapy and radiation.
