A tower constructed in the south wall of Paris. it was constructed by Philip II during the 13th century.
Now demolished, institut de France now sits on top of it.
It is a guard tower that was erected on the old city wall of Paris, France by Phillip II of France in the early thirteenth century. The tower was located on the left bank of the Seine river. The tower was demolished in 1655.
