What is the total surface area of lakes in California, measured in acres?

California's a big state, and I was wondering how much of it is actually covered by lake surface.

According to the water plan for California, the total surface area of all 1,347 reservoirs is 753,339 acres. There are 101 million acres to California including land and water.

Natural lakes in California are divided into very large lakes, small lakes, ponds. There are five large lakes present in California. The evaporation rate of the lakes were verified using the USGS professional paper 272-D. Based on this the total surface area of lakes found in California accounts to 2,319,350 acre feet.
