Answer by  CR125 (396)

Slope intercept form of a line passing through variables x and y and a slope of m is usually written as y=mx+b. This is used for trying to find any of the variables within the equation on a graph. Algebra and Calculus use this in Models and Linear Regression Lines.

The form is y=b*x+c; the slope is b and the intercept is c; the speed of increase of the line is b and c gives the y intercept when x=0.
