According to various websites the regulation size of a baseball batters box is 4 feet wide by 6 feet long. The batter is not allowed to set up his stance outside of those lines.

The batter's box is 4 ft. wide by 6 ft. deep and is located 6 in. from the side of home plate. There are two batter's boxes as there is one on each side of home plate, one is for a right-handed batter and one is for a left-handed batter.
